The Assistant Account Manager works directly with brokers in a supportive role to build a strong relationship and provide communication to all parties on behalf of the broker. This is also in addition to completing various processor functions and managing an extensive pipeline.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES, includes the following responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Responds promptly to broker calls; coordinates special needs through the appropriate staff members.
  • Maintains communication with the Broker on status of conditions, file movement and turn times.
  • Completes the process flow as conditions are signed off and new information is received.
  • Assists Managing the lock expirations on approved files to ensure funding within the lock period.
  • Coordinates order out tasks through internal and third parties.
  • Prepares the files for the CD to be issued.
  • Assists in reviewing conditions, and insuring data/document integrity prior to underwriter’s final review.
  • Answers product questions and resolves customer service issues.
  • Assists in managing pipeline reports to ensure reporting integrity and assure closing dates can be maintained.
  • Demonstrates excellent product, underwriting, and compliance mortgage knowledge.
  • Completes data entry into Byte for all necessary documentation.
  • Must prioritize and accomplish various tasks at any given time.
  • Completes and updates Verbal VOE's as necessary.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have 3-5+ years of mortgage industry experience.
  • Demonstrated extensive experience as a processor, or in an underwriting related function.
  • Ability to handle a high call volume, and prioritization to accomplish various tasks with a large workflow.
  • Excellent organizational and customer service skills are essential.
  • Must be resourceful, and capable of working independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of product; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced fluid environment.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality required.

 

PHYSICAL and ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

This role operates in an ADA compliant office environment, utilizing typical office equipment and tasks including computer work. The position may involve partial stationary positions and moving throughout the day. Flexibility to work overtime to meet project deadlines is required.

 

 

 

 

 

COMPENSATION:

Hourly rate of $20.00 to $22.00 an hour depending on skills and experience. Overall knowledge of mortgage, number of years worked in mortgage industry, computer skills, customer service experience specific to working with mortgage lenders, and education.
